Yakima County Sheriff Ken Irwin Speaks Out Against Child Abuse

Yakima County Sheriff Ken Irwin gives a statement to a reporter from KNDO (NBC Yakima) about the value of voluntary home-visiting programs proven to reduce child abuse and neglect and prevent later crime.

Sheriff Irwin and Yakima Chief of Police Sam Granato held a press conference calling attention to the thousands of Washington kids who become victims of abuse or neglect each year and called on Washington State policymakers to increase funding for voluntary home visiting programs.
