    Thurston County Sheriff Dan Kimball Accepts "Champion for Washington's Children Award"

    Thurston County Sheriff Dan Kimball is the 2009 recipient of the "Champion for Washington's Children Award." Sheriff Kimball received the award in recognition of his advocacy on behalf of early learning and home visiting.  Since taking office in 2007, Sheriff Kimball has met with legislators and agency staff, testified at hearings, spoken at news conferences, submitted opinion columns, and and signed letters to elected officials urging more investments in proven crime prevention programs.
