Mason County Sheriff Casey Salisbury (left) Mason County Undersheriff Jim Barrett (also a member of the Shelton School Board) testified before the Washington State Senate Early Learning and K-12 Education Committee. They asked senators to include early learning in the state's definition of basic education as an effective way to increase access to early childhood education programs proven to reduce crime.
