[VIDEO] Miami News Conference on Preventing Crime Through Early Education

— Local law enforcement leaders visited the United Way of Miami-Dade Center for Excellence in Early Education to read to children enrolled in the Center’s early learning program and discuss the value of early childhood education.
Miami-Dade Police Director James Loftus and North Miami Beach Chief Rafael Hernandez released a new research brief showing that investing in high-quality early care and education in Florida can help at-risk children succeed, significantly reduce the likelihood that they will commit crimes and save taxpayer dollars through reduced corrections costs.
