Port Washington Chief acts as strong advocate for New York's children

As a former School Resource Officer, Port Washington Police Chief William Kilfoil brings a unique perspective and many years of law enforcement experience to his work with FIGHT CRIME: INVEST IN KIDS NEW YORK.
Chief Kilfoil's commitment to helping increase investments in kids demonstrates the important part our members play as community leaders. This year he spoke to a mix of community leaders about the need from a crime prevention perspective to expand pre-kindergarten on Long Island at a Community Conversation sponsored by Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, and participated in the Nassau-Suffolk County Juvenile Justice Summit at Hofstra University. He has also participated in numerous advocacy efforts geared toward Congress and State lawmakers that have helped propel investments in kids to the forefront.
He was recently elected President of the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police.
