Mission of the membership department:

Your staff at Fight Crime: Invest in Kids California will serve as your personal resource on relevant federal and state policy developments. We strive to ensure that our members receive all essential information about activities they can participate in to make their voices heard by the State Legislature and Congress.

Who can become a member and how?

Fight Crime: Invest in Kids California members are top executive law enforcement leaders and survivors of violence. Top executive law enforcement leaders include: Chiefs of Police; Sheriffs; District Attorney's and Attorneys General.

The only condition of membership is an agreement with the School and Youth Violence Prevention Plan, which lays out our broad goals. There are no membership dues for this organization.

If you would like to be considered for membership and agree with the School and Youth Violence Prevention Plan, please complete the membership application form. You will receive a member welcome packet if you are eligible to become a member.


What can members do?

Members are called on for advice as needed, and may be asked to contact policy makers on behalf of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids California's legislative priorities, submit letters and opinion editorials to local or national newspapers, testify at congressional hearings or briefings, and to appear at press conferences and other public events.
